BULGARIA DESTINATIONS - TOP 100 TOURIST SITES OF BULGARIA
Bulgaria has many beautiful sightseeings and faces. When visiting Bulgaria any local person will tell you to visit one of our 100 tourist sites. In 1966, a Bulgaria national movement was started. It’s idea has been to promote the tourism among Bulgarians and foreigners who want to see the what-so-called most beautiful, symbolic, and important historic, archaeological, cultural, and natural landmarks.
To further motivate its 100 tourists sites visitors, the Bulgarian national movement has created a small book with all the 100 tourists sites. Each and every of them has a stamp and every visitor with a book can get their stamp to show that they actually visited this specific place.
A reward scheme has been developed to encourage collection of as many stamps as possible. Depending on the number of stamps collected, participants may receive bronze, silver or gold badges.
Here’s how the reward scheme looks like:
25 stamps to earn bronze
50 stamps to earn silver
100 stamps - the complete booklet will earn you gold
The National Organizational Committee of the BTU holds an annual lottery for the previous year's badge earners every August. Prizes include, but are not limited to:
