Did you know that one of the most beautiful buildings in the Sofia is The National Theater?! The National theathre Ivan Vazov was designed by two Austrian architects – H.Helmer and F.Felner. It is located in the centre of the city, with the facade facing the City Garden. The theater was opened for exhibitions in 1907. It was built in the style of German classicism with a lot of Europian modern elements by time of was created. The Ivan Vazov National Theatre has a well-equipped main stage with 750 seats, a smaller 120-seat stage and an additional 70-seat one on the fourth floor. The theatre has been host to productions from notable theatre directors such as Alexander Morfov who has been the Chief director since 1993.
This theater is a temple, which help for the thirstiness to Bulgarians to rich their culture in the spirit of world`s culture. And the park in front of the theater is one of the favorite places for Sofia`s citizens. It is often a stage for different concerts, photo exhibitions, outside chess tournaments, meetings with friends. You are welcome too.
